Showing an example of how differential equations can be used to model real situations. In particular in an experiment to do with a cup of coffee and a glass of hot water cooling using Newton's law of cooling. Please be warned: this video is far from perfect! I make some mistakes with number work which I correct once I realise and the actual estimates are not brilliant but I talk about why this is. The idea of this video is not to get perfect estimates but to show you how the real world and the mathematics link, and the problems this can entail. Thanks for watching, please like and comment.

sorry to be a pain, I don't mean to be rude, but you measured at 7 minutes not 6 minutes, so for the water t=0 is fine the second t should be t = 5 not t = 4....
