I received my Sur-ron two weeks ago, I just wanna say this review is dead on accurate!

Well said! Sur-Ron had a lot of things to improve upon and they failed to do it. Instead they went backwards in both price and performance.

I just got mine last week and it came with fastace inverted forks and dnm rear. I'm satisfied with how it performs!

The DNM shocks are the best shocks that ever came with the stock sur ron. The rst killah fork is absolute garbage. My DNMs has been holding up compared to the RSTS

I watched this after ordering my Sur ron in November. I was panicked I was going to end up with this setup. Bike came yesterday and it came with dnm volcano setup…relieved.

Our Surron got here about ten days ago (from Luna) and came with a DNM RCP-25 rear suspension along with the same RST Killah in front. Surron must be building them with whatever parts they can find.

Keep up the great content!!

Sorry guys, I don't normally comment on videos but in this case I feel compelled to share a different view. I have three Sur Ron's.Two with the inverted DNM forks and one with the RST Killah. I have also tuned the DNM's extensively. The RST is superior in my opinion in everyday use. Everyone that rides my bikes prefers to use the one with the RST. The RST is also way stronger laterally. I had even looked into replacing my DNM's with some used RST's (grab from someone that swapped to a Fox fork). I don't feel the fox fork price is worth it for a play bike... I do agree though,   the inverted DNM's look cool with the thicker tubes. Also the brake pads are much better on the newer Sur Ron's. They changed something there.
We ride HARD and the bikes can take a pounding. We are close to 3000 trail miles on them.  Just buy one and ride the crap out of it. They are great. Way less maintenance vs my eMTB conversions. You don't need to upgrade the bikes to have a blast. Just get a sprocket and have fun.
You do want to get a spare drive belt though. I have been through a few of those as wear items. Also, the primary drive belt to chain conversion is LOUD... I took mine off and went back to belt.  Hope this is helpful for some.

The RST gives your arms a workout that is for sure!

I agree about the RST Killah... can't wait to swap it out. I have a clone bomber coming with a DNM USD8 and I may swap that over to the Sur Ron, and then find a street oriented fork for the bomber

It’s a hybrid bike which has a great price point for us that really don’t need that much upgrading. Just like anything else most stuff can be upgraded but at a cost. My X fits my bill

Getting a Sur-Ron X. I have a choice between the DNM or KKE. Which should I get?

Received my Sur Ron in June with KKE inverted forks. They are decent for my weight and have an air chamber so I was able to add pressure. Much thicker than the RST and DNM forks I’ve seen a few photos of ppl getting inverted Fastace too.

It seems that the most recent 2021 models come with KKE front forks, a brand that hasn't been used before. Mine did. Still replaced it as it had too much sag, but it was buttery smooth and handled impacts nicely.

Whats interesting is that everywhere else around the world, the new surrons have new fastace inverted forks. Idk when luna will be shipping these

I found the same exact issues with my 2021 surron, RST killah fork. So glad I ordered a better fork to eliminate the trash suspension. I doubt they will be phasing out the light bee as its the teak and potatoes of their sales. Plus with them manufacturing for Segway, it’s doubtful. Hopefully they revitalize the light bee x with another major improvement, like they did with the controller soon.

My RST forks are terrible. After some off-road use, they are nearly rigid now, and make riding kind of miserable now. Do you have any recommended single crown forks? I can’t find any DH forks like everyone else

so the rear suspension is just "surron" now and not fast ace or dnm?? i got mine this year in late march, but its not surron suspension in the rear so im assuming its a 2020 model.

Did you even try to adjust them? I watched a video on that big difference... idk very happy mine came with fast ace forks

Yes, it's like that. It's not a small amount of money, they could handle it better. But what… I have just ordered a new model 2022 already paid for me in our country 5050 € Since the course is bad goods come to me from the Czech Republic. When we count it, it costs $ 5, 800 And you haven't finished it yet if I didn't have better parts from the old model 2021 so the price is much higher. And I'm talking about the basics of no tuning, for example, on this new model I'm going to change tires right away. senior kormant, gripi, light switch I will use everything from an old bicycle, the only thing I still invest in are tires. Much better traction than on these stock CSTs. I also had on models 2021 fork RST KILLAH She is good only from the beginning and then after a short drive the stiffens is hard also I should have recommended to have the fork serviced a little because the oil is in it. But I managed to sell the bike so I'm happy that I got rid of it in a while we'll be home new with the second suspension of course. KILLAH RST BLACK no longer assembled. on the new 2022 models thankfully. From the beginning, I thought that fork was the best since I have a bridge - Vistuhu. that will be stronger, but works very badly almost does not work at all on a short ride gets tired and stiffens. Only Naoko looks good. I have a KKE recommendation that I can get on a bike that among all other forks it is best to have a sensitive setting. So I prefer KKE I've even heard that it can still be blown through the air. What shocked me the most was that these bad RST forks began to mount on the Talaria sting… It's like a proper flight, as the bike is extremely more massive for lousy suspension - the fork… It doesn't turn out well…. And I think that the USA is the price of this bike sur ron Very affordable compared to what our prices are… Basically $ 2000 more expensive than yours.
