Creating Digital Doubles - A Breakdown By WorldWide FX

Показать описание
Whether you are using VFX for Movies, Games, or AR/VR, digital doubles are not just a trend anymore - it is here to stay and ultimately make everyone's life in the industry easier.
The process of creating digital doubles involves several stages as you can see in the example below.
It all begins with scanning the actor's head in order to achieve a realistic capture of their facial features and expressions. For the purposes of this example, our colleague Ivaylo Ivanov has happily provided his time and head to be scanned.
This rough model is then cleaned and prepared to be used as a base for the next stage - adding more details such as skin texture, hair, and the smallest details. And of course, adding the mimics is what follows next. 😃😭😲😄
And what follows next is pure VFX magic 😉
The software we use when creating digital doubles for our projects is Zbrush, Maya, Pixar's RenderMan, Mari, Wrap, XGen.
