Could An Atheist Baptize You?

In the Catholic Church, certain sacraments like the Eucharist and confession are reserved for ordained to clergy only, specifically validly ordained priests and bishops. However, there exist a number of sacraments that can be performed by lay people, especially in emergency situations.

Trust me my atheist friend would ask do you still believe in god after all these things happened...

Well Luther did say the devil himself can baptize you and use scripture and it would be a valid baptism because it is solely a work of God so if the words of institution are said and there is a means to be baptized in water and in the name of the father son and Holy Spirit then yes technically an atheist can baptize someone under Luther’s definition

If the power of the baptism doesn’t come from the one performing it then why does Catholicism say “only babies” doesn’t that take away from the baby being baptised and put it all on the baptiser for a commitment to raise the baby catholic?
Would that mean that a catholic baptism isn’t a baptism but a promise to god to look after a baby?
I know we are all sinners. But to wash away a baby’s sin is like take a bath before they go roll in the mud.

The timeline to me just seems broken a little bit?

-birth > bath > mud > life > judgement

-birth > mud > bath > life > judgement

Imo a baby doesn’t understand what’s going on.
How can we be forgiven our trespasses without trespassing?
How can we forgive others without even knowing what forgiveness is?

If anyone has any insight to how a catholic baptism works i would appreciate it :)
I was baptised as a baby, does this mean that I’m not allowed to invite the Holy Spirit unto me through baptism?

If so doesn’t that mean that Catholicism has formed an impassable chasm between me and Christ because the pope said so?

Does the recipient need to believe? Or do they need to be ignorant to the concepts and allow someone else to do it for them?

So if two people, one man and one woman, were stranded on a remote island and all alone, and they couldn’t keep from each other, they could administer the sacrament of marriage to each other? If so, in what other situation would there be that kind of emergency?

Baptism is not essential for salvation because only God can save you from your sins

Remember Naaman? There’s no need to complicate this. God desires to save men. He searches the earth for men with hearts devoted to Him. The problem is you would have had to hear about Jesus from someone. So you heard it in the past and now everyone is dead. God would see this man and know He was coming to faith because it’s the Spirit who draws men to God.
You guys are too religious for me. Jesus Christ gave His life to make men sons of God and make God the Father of men. First you need this rule mixed with that rule combined with this doctrine sprinkled with a vision of Mary and faith in Jesus Christ through her plus 10 hail Mary’s in the name of Catholicism while in Rome before the pope then you’re saved. But don’t forget baptism, the Holy, set apart, high Holy Eucharist etc. sacraments.
Oh wait! I forgot! That dude on the cross rule! Remember that dude who wasn’t baptized!? Yeah! There’s a place where you can’t obey because of circumstances/lack of ability due to knowledge or physical inability.
Men may need a preacher but God does not need men to save.
