The 4.075km-long Spark Bridge is the longest highway bridge in Guizhou Province and one of the longest mountain highway bridges in China. 赤望高速的重要连接线紫望高速公路于2016年9月正式动工，道路全长74千米，有隧道15座，桥梁112座，其中特大桥3座、大桥86座、中桥23座，桥隧比为61.39%。
这是贵州省高速公路路网规划中第五纵线赤水经紫云至望谟高速公路的重要组成路段。
