What we got was better. While I was prepared for some of the orignal Avengers to die, I would have found it a little off putting if all of them died in the same movie. I don't think it would have been as impactful as the deaths of Iron Man and Black Widow that we got; meaning making that same impact happen almost more than twice would sort of weakend the movie. Passing the torch on to the new Avengers wouldn't require every single one of the old ones to die to make it impactful.

I could picture something like all 6 original Avengers using a stone each to defeat thonos and his army, somewhat like the final battle of Guardians of the galaxy.

Im glad that didnt happen... I think all of them where too big to get killed on the same movie...in fact the things was on of Cap or Tony (or both) die on the end...not all.

Honestly, in my opinion, it would’ve been nice to see all the OG Six Avengers present and assembled together in the final battle and that was something I was expecting and anticipating to happen. It’s unfortunate that it didn’t because of how the story went. I would’ve wanted to see Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, the Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye all assembled together and fight against Thanos in a personal intimate 6 on 1 fight match. While Kevin Feige’s idea would’ve been crazy and disgraceful to the characters, it’s something I wouldn’t be able to process. However, when you’re wrapping up 10-11 years of storytelling, it’s important to have all the older heroes present together in the epic climatic final battle. That way, things can come full circle. If I was writing this movie, I would make some changes, like change the rules of how to obtain the soul stone and I wouldn’t kill off all the original six avengers. Maybe kill off at least one of them, just to keep the stakes high, while the rest would survive the events of the film.

The ending we got is way better! If all 6 originals died it would have been an “of course” they died moment rather than an emotional moment that 2 died and 1 retired to then later die off screen. 3 was the perfect amount as it wouldn’t make since that no collateral damage occur within a movie that is about a galactic war. Plot shields would be super bad in that case. But killing off all 6 would have been super cheesy and honestly not realistic in my opinion! Hehe! It was the perfect ending to the MCU so much to where I am not even that exciting about the MCU going forward (especially since they are doing the whole multiverse crap)

He could’ve killed all of them except Hulk and Thor tbh those 2 have much more to offer in terms of story and character development but Hawkeye definitely should’ve died and he passed his archery mantle on to Kate Bishop but Cap, Tony and Widow all died though anyway we’ll Cap basically died he old asf now

Captain America = may aswell be Dead
Hulk = not Dead But when does he ever get his own movies
Hawkeye = getting a series

Thor = literally the only OG Avenger to still get his own movies
