These 2 stacks of coins both have 100 pennies. One stack holds pennies minted before 1982, and the other holds pennies minted after 1982. How much is each stack really worth?

This is why copper penny hoarding is a thing. There's dudes with pallets and pallets of copper pennies in storage. They're waiting for the penny to be discontinued. Then they will sell the pennies for melt value.

Trax the only jeweler on Youtube willing to speak on the actual state of the economy right now. These are free Econ 101 lessons and everyone should be taking notes.

Coins now a days are worth so much more than what they are printed on. I have multiple misprint and double stamped Pennie’s, nickels, domes and all!

Now I’m gonna be hoarding all Pennies pre 1982

Even better is finding quarters from 1964 or earlier when they were made out of silver.

During WW2, pennies were made of pure zinc, because copper was needed for the war effort. My grandfather had a 5 gallon jug half-full of them.

The cost of money is decreased, the value of your money is relatively the same..

Having been a banker, I've known this forever. You have to go back to 1964 when .90 silver was last used in currency. (Dimes, Quarters and .50 pieces). Now they are all copper and zinc. Things cost more now, not because prices have gone up but because the value of our currency has gone down.
