No matter what, I think the Lich is one villain that nobody could convince through dialogue. Since he literally is the incarnation of death and evil or whatever. He's gonna do what he's wired to do.

Actually another comment here made me realize something, wouldn't steven's spit sort of act like the citadel guardian's blood and restore life to the lich's bones and create sweet pea again?

The Lich being the last scholar of Golb literally reminds me of Pious Augustus working for one of the three Ancient’s from Eternal Darkness Sanity’s Requiem both are evil undead skeletons that can use some form of magic and they both work for a ancient evil that’s existed since before time began and technically both where responsible for a lot of deaths during a war The Lich coming from the Mushroom Bomb during the Great Mushroom War and Pious actually being the one responsible for WW1 happening but yeah (tho The Lich would definitely obliterate Pious)

I mean, Young Steven was 100% ready to throw hands with anyone and anything that would threaten his city, only stopping when they werent a threat.

Future Steven was throwing hands *as he was singing about not having to throw hands* and actively murdered someone cause he needed to vent stress. Steven Universe: Future didnt do well for the characterization of the Diamonds, but Steven has never been afraid to throw down.
