I am using M5Stack, HA, OpenCPN, Meshtastic and mix of low cost tech modules to digitise my boat the systems will be a distributed system with high level of redundancy and I am going to use high level languages like Javascript and Python where possible. Everything will be on Github and I am looking for input and ideas from you all.

i am very interested in this. I have set up a pi on my boat and have it tied into the instruments and AIS etc. I have a couple of meshtastic nodes and was very keen to see if there was a way to send hourly data from signal K but it was beyond my coding abilities to figure out. a LORA anchor alarm is a great idea! I will keep an eye on your github! What is your boat by the way? I have a catalac 8, looks to be somewhat similar in size.
