Note for the lawn care professional.: I got the Kobalt 21" 80V (Greenworks clone) for places my Snapper 36" commercial mower won't fit into. The 80V is pretty good, but doesn't bag a damn thing in the real world. Cool idea for mulching tho.

I think they make the blades low-lift on purpose to save watts. 21 or 25", lowest-lift as can be. All these electric mowers could use a true high-lift. Otherwise not fit for commercial service. My small Snapper 36" w Kawi 12.5hp came with med-lift blades, which is easy enough to rip the old leaves out of the lawn. Electric mower just rides right over them, cutting nothing. On the plus side, it's very quiet, very light. Good for a dry day with only light material mulching.

The 6Ah 80V Battery suffers in the wet, too much weight of material for the power-thirsty motor to chew on. Wet performance is sub-40% at best. Might as well spend the extra money and get the real deal. Even as a homeowner a true 36" commercial grade would last trouble free for all time.
If you think a real mower is too expensive, my brand new (then) only cost $1750 clearance, and never broke down once in 5 years of making money. Would easy pay 5K for a replacement, the electric mower is no substitute if you care about cleanup suction or turf lift/cut quality/wet performance.

All that said, the 80V has been consistent for what it is. Piece of crap with the rear-wheels locking up (common Greenworks issue) but good enough if you get used to it. Simply no contest between the toy-80V and the real thing tho. If you have a large yard, don't mess around with future bigbox returns. I strongly encourage anyone to spend the extra money and get the real thing. Even Hustler has come out with a 34" budget stander with homeowner-hydrodrostatic transmission. That would be better by far. The Zt-1800 trans is tried and true for a few bucks more. I have the geared model, called "Peerless" which exceeds specs all week all year. Never failed ever, and pushes the machine uphill ramps into the truck for post-work loading many x per day.

25" with no side discharge instantly is useless for me doing a lawn care business.
Outside Toronto Canada we side discharge.
When you have to cut long grass with no side discharge instantly it will plug up and not give a good cut.
Anyone heard anything about a 30" electric mower ?
My Toro rep claims the are working on an electric 30" Timemaster mower .

I have tried a lot of brands and Makita imo is the best by far.

25" sounds great but the cut quality just didn't work for me. Been using the ryobi cross cut for a few months now and the cut is so much better. When the grass is less thick I even remove the 2nd blade to extend runtime. And the side discharge 🙏

Are these all 60v version? I see that they make an 80v 25 inch.

I need to get 8 electric mowers with more power than what we are using now but can't find one. My crews are really struggling
with the wet grass we have in the Caribbean island of Antigua and Barbuda right now. And going back to gas is a no for me.

Did you ever come to a conclusion on the new mowers you were testing?
