While the original seems to be full on scorning Icarus, this version just sounds like it’s pitying him. He didn’t realize his mistakes until much too late. Beautiful reimagining!

I had a couple people ask this, so I'll just pin it right here. Yes, I digitally painted the background for this video! That's supposed to be Icarus at the top right of the screen, and he's flying up to the sun.

Damn the song has a different vibe to it which sounds great. Ngl i accidentally found this since I wanted to play the original on my google nest hub but for some reason it played this. I let it play and I absolutely loved it, great work.
