SMITE Patch Notes for Patch 5.17, "Hera's Odyssey". This patch includes the return of Golden Bow in the form of Golden Blade (only for assassins and warriors) as well as Heartseeker being moved to the Morningstar tree, making it available for hunters. Also NOT in this Patch: Hera's release.

The ability-based hunters, especially Neith, are much better. Neith ultimate midgame already half-hit people, now you can add a big ol' damage burst on it too, and ruin people's days without leaving your lane.

EDIT: Hey, isn't Cernunnos's summer stance bonus damage counted as an extra ability tick? If it is, he could just spam Heartseeker procs on every 5th basic attack, and that sounds a little aids

I got a question, sense golden Katana kinda give a god a "cleave" Or a auto attack that hits people around it, would that activate the affects of Bazerker shield? So when you clear creeps in let's say solo as Erlang, would you heal off your auto attacks, your dog, and golden Katana and get massive heals? Or even in jungle?

Since they fixed the Baka minions backdoor protections thing, did they fix Baka's minions counting as tickets for the other team when they died in Arena?

So if you play Fenrir with mega penetration and Golden Blade could you hit a middle god in a team fight with Brutalize at full Runes ... will the extra AOE on the AOE Brutalize literally instakill half the team??

I feel like this patch just pushes Apollo back out of viability, and give Hou Yi a one shot combo. Also Mercury and Erlang are going to dominate the meta with golden blade.
