As soon as I saw her on screen I knew she was a perfect Ellie. She captures the attitude and energy of Ellie so perfectly it's insane It's like she is Ellie. She captures the angst and the fear and the stubbornness and the courage. Phenomenal job.

As an American who played the videogame multiple times I was skeptical when I heard Bella would portray Ellie (as well as Pedro portraying Joel), but after watching the show I feel the showrunners made the right casting choices since the chemistry between the 2 actors is on par with that of the characters from the games.

Gustavo Santaollala. It is this wonderful man's music in the game and the show... That truly moves me to tears in almost every scene where it shows up.
It augments Bella's and Pedro's performances. And the beautiful thing about this show is you meet so many characters... Only to see them die in tragic ways, BUT not before each of them leave a huge impact on the viewer
