#Mitú is the electronic music duo of Julian Salazar, former guitarist of the psychedelic cumbia band Bomba Estéreo, and Franklin Tejedor, a master percussionist of the rhythmic traditions of Palenque. Salazar creates dynamic sound pieces that induce dancing, using synthesizers and electronic drums, which are combined by Tejedor with the cheerful drum and vocal improvisations in Palenquero, to create vibrant blocks of sparkling electronic music, driven by insistent rhythms from their roots.
