On the 25th anniversary of his death El Cheapo Films has uncovered rare footage of Orson Welles' infamous frozen pea voiceover session.

I absolutely love that Orson considers the reading "unrewarding". Only a true actor would want his reading of a radio commercial to be rewarding. And then walks out and says screw the payday. Brilliant.

Are people stupid?  Welles had the greatest speaking voice in history and the best director ever - especially in radio - he was the greatest radio performer ever.  The director should have just gone to lunch and let Welles do it.
