Jordan, I know you know this, but count your blessings that you get to work in this environment with your dad and learn from him, hands on. Especially when you’re old enough to appreciate it and he’s young enough to do it still.

I love how Paul, probably being the most hesitant and awkward with being in front of the camera when Jordan started this youtube channel, has become the face of the channel and so comfortable narrating and explaining everything. Absolutely gem of a channel and family. ❤

That scaffolding has so paid for itself. Best tool you probably ever bought.

35yr solo painter here. you did a fantastic job on the interior! Did everything I would do and your plan moving forward is what I would also do. 1 coat of primer light scuff and 2 coats finish. The exterior painting on the first day was a little rough to watch, but Jordan seemed to get the hang of the sprayer on the inside. I would say, your exterior gun setup had to big of a tip and the spray gun should always be perpendicular to the surface. Never spray past your arm reach if your worried about airborne overspray. Also never let the spray pattern "not hit a surface" like on the corners, because of overspray in the air. To get the areas where it to dangerous to spray, just carry a small roller in a 5gl bucket w/ lid to whip out and roll the edges where the spray might be airborne.
I did learn something from you guys. It's when you where touching up the corner boards and dry brushed the blue on the frogtape to seal the white from weeping under the tape, great tip!!

oh one lesson i have learned is get your primer lightly tinted (like just barely, i like to use a just barely pink. like 1/2 of a normal very very light pink). makes it MUCH easier to see if you missed a spot either covering or when you cover it with paint. (esp on ceilings which tend to be flat white anyway). Any paint store will tint it for free.

I wasn't missing you guys, i wasn't checking in 3-4 times a day to see if you were here, i didn't check my notifications to see if something was off. I didn't look at google earth to see what you were up to. I wasn't about ready to fly down to Houston and do a drive by. Honest I didn't, well I couldn't afford the plane ticket. glad to see you back.

Paul, my brother...I'm in tears!!! You have made me so happy!!! You have finally mastered the Art of Caulk!!! Most excellent job if I do say so myself! No more sticky fingers!
Just want to say, probably your best video so far! Great job guys!!!
Now...I have mentioned this time and time again, and I'm only going to say it one more time...LOT DRAINAGE. You mentioned getting the gutter and downspouts done soon, you need to find a place for all the water to go. You are quickly approaching demo on the existing house, and that's going to be your last chance to do any grading/stormwater management on your lot. If you don't address it now, all your hard work will be for naught. The entire lot needs to be regraded and subsurface drains put in. Engineering will need to be done, if you haven't already done that. I've looked at the topo for the neighborhood and it's going to be a tricky solution at best. But I have faith you guys can pull it off.
Thanks again, and Happy Easter to you and your family!

I had those vent covers and birds will get right in there unless you have a screen on the vent inside the louvers

With the folks across the street, it is nice that there are some people that still appreciate a good day just to watch paint dry!

I recommend spraying the clear electric meter with 2k clear coat. It’ll never go hazy or yellow, like it would in a couple years. Same for any electrical outlets outdoors with clear covers.

Whenever you're painting trim with such a small reveal, and in such a contrasting color, it's always better (and far easier) to caulk and paint the trim first, and then cut the wall or siding color into it afterwards. It's much easier to lay a larger brush on a wide flat surface than it is to try and navigate a straight line with a tiny brush on a 1/2 inch trim reveal.

I'm appreciating quality over quantity. Great work infront and behind the camera.

As usual nice work, the paint is like the icing on the cake, keep up the good work!

Brushed rolled my entire house 2 coats. Using a sprayer and the cleaning and rinsing of the equipment between stops and coats not to mention the overspray problems all went away. It was a great decision!

Looks GREAT, guys! From the ground up, you’ve done an awesome job and meticulous work. That cathedral ceiling almost took me to church. When customizing time comes, Jordan’s gonna play hell gettin’ mirrors up there. Thanks for taking me along on the journey. 😊👍

19:25 I typically prime once I have it good enough and then spackle after Primer. That stuff is easier to spot and fix after! Many ways to skin a cat!
