I kept seeing this method called "UV Printing" being used by so many artists like Taiki, Yoneyama Mai, and Mika Pikazo! So I decided to look deeper into it, and give it a try myself!

Big part of this video was inspired by Taiki, Yoneyama Mai, and SSS rearise exhibitions. Their works broke the norm of a typical illustration gallery, which inspires me to broaden my horizon as an artist and illustrator!

edit: name of mon's artwork @1:58 is 業火 !
edit 2: A lot of people asked about the printer. I think it's a UV printer by Roland VersaUV series.. I did my prints at a school print shop, so I didn't get access to the printer myself sorry!

Thanks for inviting us to see a glimpse of those phenomenal art exhibitions. I really have to agree when you conclude, "from admiration to experiment", it's truly inspiring art journey. Can't wait to see what you will make next time!

I had the chance to go to Taiki sensei's exhibition and it was truly incredible. The pieces really "popped" out of their canvases, and I remember standing in front of each piece, wow-struck. I went to the exhibition on the third day, and some of the pieces were already sold out (and they cost anywhere from 220, 000 yen to 1, 000, 000 yen a piece...)!

I also had the opportunity to talk to Mr. Shimada, the manager of the SSS group, and from the conversation, he confirmed that the printers "prints" more ink at certain areas, however this process is seemingly done by a separate person alongside Taiki's approval.

This new technique brings a whole new idea to art tbh, with printing you would also be doing art. Quite fascinating
Also the ones with the action lines effect look so fire ngl that was smart of you

Seeing the work of these artists literally made me cry. I have seen their work on twitter already, but it looks very different in here, very engulfing! Your editing is also super immaculate!

TPPO you are unironically one of my favorite youtube artists and teachers, and I've been watching since the beginning. I just want you to know that you introduce me to new techniques all the time and your eagerness to learn really mirrors my own. Thank you for always introducing new concepts and deeply exploring the concepts yourself before making an indepth youtube video on them! I really want to try UV printing myself one day.

You are the biggest art nerd, and I mean that respectfully.

At the start of the video, I immediately recognize Yoneyama Mai pieces. She's so talented. There is a MV by Eve that animated by her called "YOKU". It's also used as an ad for cosmetic products.

UV printing is a concept I didn't realize could make art so much more dynamic! Loved the Yoneyama Mai piece the most at 4:44!

really well produced video and explanation. Also, I find pretty cool the fact that you take the time to add all the sources in the description. I can easily use this video as a material for an essay or something. Can't wait to see your next video btw.
Also I want to know more about UV printing. Is the first time that I see something like this.

Makes me wonder about the possibility of doing my own print-style-art, especially since there's this much experimentation you can do. Thank you for showing us about it.
