This is amazing news. My son is 7 and has SSD. I am so thrilled that he will be a candidate now. 😭❤️

I’m a candidate, however I was told by the MED-EL representative that Medicare does not cover this for SSD. My secondary insurance will cover anything that Medicare covers. So I either have complete coverage or no coverage. I am purchasing a Phonak Paradise Cros, I truly wish I could have true bi-neural hearing back with a cochlear implant. $40, 000-$60, 000 is not an option for me.

Seeing another video that mentions a possible 'under the skin' cochlear implant & my Ear Specialist at Dallas Ear Institute also mentioned this as well, is the process any closer to being perfected to be able to have this done? I had Sudden Hearing Loss in my left ear and looking now to getting a Cochlear Implant but the under the skin, (hidden) implant would be so awesome!!
THANK YOU!!
