SEC Shorts - Teams bid date auction style to play Vanderbilt

Now that the SEC has officially announced a conference only 10 game schedule for the 2020 football season, all SEC teams are left wondering who their additional two conference games will be. For teams in the SEC West, there's only one team out there that everyone wants a piece of; Vanderbilt. The conference rolls out Vanderbilt to the stage and holds a date auction for teams to bid on who gets the honor and most likely easy win after playing Vandy.

I’m seriously devastated about not getting to play South Carolina this year. It’s not about us not getting to blow them out, it’s the fact that this game means a ton to both fanbases. Clemson good, Clemson bad, South Carolina good, South Carolina bad, it doesn’t matter. The two teams have met yearly without missing a beat for over 100 years. A Clemson football season isn’t complete without playing Carolina. I’m sure many Carolina fans will agree with me. Makes no sense why South Carolina can travel to places like Missouri and Kentucky but not a couple hours away to Clemson, SC.

When I first heard about the SEC in-conference schedule, my heart went out to Vandy and Arkansas.

...there are, however, some very confident teams in the audience that could easily be on the stage themselves. : )
