Licorice to the average American is a red, long, twisting candy; but to the rest of the world it's a small, black, drop of anise.
Dutch Black Licorice. That's what they'll be trying in this episode of Culture Shock.

Black licorice or as a sane person would say Licorice. Whatever that red licorice is has nothing to do with actual licorice. I will go to war with the US over this.

I personally don’t like black licorice myself but I do know kids waaayy back used to love them like us people from the 80’s and 90’s always loved gummies and chocolates

This is so unequivocally American, it’s hard to watch them parade over my vote for the best candy ever made
