I've worked at Cracker Barrel for almost 13 years and almost all of these "hacks" are NOT true.

I wanted to like this video like all of Mashed videos, but as I listened, I realized that it was Cracker Barrel, and this chain has taken a nosedive in quality and consistency since Covid. It's truly disappointing, because nostalgia makes this chain so memorable. After the third visit to Cracker Barrel turned into a head shaker, I decided there are too many good restaurants out there to visit to give Cracker Barrel more business.

Just wish they didn’t serve smoked sausage instead of traditional breakfast sausage. Was highly disappointed with the grits at breakfast. Overly soupy and undercooked. Due the rising cost we have pretty much stopped eating there.

I don't understand. Why all the love for those tasteless, joyless, dried up lumps of flour they call "biscuits" at Cracker Barrel? I'll tell you two places with FAR better biscuits than Cracker Barrel. 1) Breakfast sandwiches at Chick-Fil-A have super fluffy biscuits. So good. Too bad they stopped making their biscuits and gravy combo when Covid hit. 2) Bojangles. Harder to find their locations, but worth it. Their Bo-Berry biscuits are wonderful. Country ham biscuits, too. Yes they do have sausage gravy with biscuits.
