I think the best line of this song is "We Loved Each Other We Just Couldn't Get Along" many of us can relate to that. But not too many of us knew that was the reason for us breaking up.💔

Teddy singing with angels 😇 in Heaven 😊
Lead singer in the song is Teddy Pendergrass he had an unforgettable beautiful voice like an angel 😇
Theodore DeReese Pendergrass (March 26, 1950 – January 13, 2010) was an American soul and R&B singer-songwriter. He was born in Kingstree, South Carolina.
Pendergrass lived most of his life in the Philadelphia area, and initially rose to musical fame as the lead singer of Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes.
After leaving the group in 1976, Pendergrass launched a successful solo career under the Philadelphia International label, releasing five consecutive platinum albums (a record at the time for an African-American R&B artist).
Pendergrass's career was suspended after a March 1982 car crash left him paralyzed from the chest down. Pendergrass continued his successful solo career until announcing his retirement in 2007.
He died from respiratory failure in January 2010.

Victor I just found this, you posted it 4 yrs ago. When this was a hit 1974, I was 19 yrs old stationed on Okinawa. My cute girlfriend back home mailed me the dreaded "Dear John Letter." Not sure if that is used in the UK or not. Otherwords she wanted break up with me since I was 10, 000 away. So like this song... "The Love I Lost"
