I'm in the UK, I'm a huge fan of Halloween, my favourite holiday. But where I live nothing ever happens on Halloween, I wish it did

Full marks from a Canadian who has been alive for decades of Halloween fun. The egging of wi does however is on the day before the 31st and is called devil's night.

Hi Gina, the origin name of Halloween are

All Hallows Day in 1st Nov
And All Hallows Eve in 31st Oct.
And that's why it called as Halloween.

Answer:
It's combination of All Hallows Day (1 Nov) and All Hallows Eve(31 Oct) . The name has been contracted to Hallowe'en

I wouldn't call it a British English holiday. May Day with Maypole dancers, Pancake Day and Guy Fawkes Day are British English holidays...Halloween is a Continental American holiday - Canada, USA and Mexico from what I've heard?

Halloween is not a holiday in the UK, it's only in the last few years that people have bothered with it, my kids didn't in the 80's....

Happy 😊 Halloween 🎃 👻 . Should Halloween 🎃 👻 be a public holiday? Halloween 🎃 👻 is on the 31st of October every year is a previous day before the 1st 🥇 of November. The children 👧 🧒 👧 👦 🧒 go out do trick or treat 👻. Most children 🧒 👧 👦 🧒 are given money 💰 💴 💵, sweets 🍭 🍫 🍬 and perhaps 🤔 etc. I don’t have trick or treaters at my flat. I ignore them. Good 👍. Serves them right. I don’t bother with them. 👍
