What is an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD)? (Webinar)

With increased focus by governments and corporations on upfront carbon emissions it has never been more important to quantify the environmental performance of building projects. In this webinar Steven Mitchell from thinkstep-anz discusses EPDs and how they can enable designers and specifiers to construct quantifiably more sustainable buildings. Verified EPDs have been produced for the following Australian timber products: sawn hardwood, sawn softwood, particleboard, MDF, plywood and glulam. They earn credits under the Green Star sustainable building rating system and also have other applications. Examples include the popular WoodSolutions EPDs for Australian timber products, that have been downloaded over 10,000 times, EPDs for imported products and their application in projects.
