Thank you so very much for this!
The youth have free will like us adults, and like us adults, youth are not robots.
Yes, properly train them, but it is not enough to tell them what to do or give consequences when they disobey. You as the one who is supposed to know better need to keep your own self in check and also remember that just because you are an adult does not always mean you can. No, being an adult does not give you free pass to smoke, cuss, watch violent or graphic programming, not keep anger in check, be outspoken, just to name a few things. When they become adults, your actions is going to matter more than how you made their butt so sore they cannot sit for a week or that you shoved them and pinned them to a wall for 10 minutes. They should see you act the way you want them to act instead of just being told what rules they should follow.
I say this knowing the average adult do not want to hear this.
Also, the youth do not just need proper healthy parenting, they need proper examples from us all. We all have that responsibility, not just the parents/guardians and families.

Edit: Understand that there are parents who do right in raising their kids, but they still end up rebellious or grow to become adults who do not act proper. It's not my parents fault I had a child 20 years ago out of wedlock ( I was 27 by the way ). It was mine. If I had my child as a teen instead, I would still say the same. My mom did try to instill in me no sleeping outside marriage.

This proverb is actually about teaching children about being wise with . Money 💰💰. The verse right after says "the borrower is slave to the lender".

Train up a child so he won't be enslaved with debt. It's not wise to make payments.

I’m several translations, that verse is translated as “raise a child that fits THEIR needs…”

Raise them in the way THEY can understand it.

I heard Chuck Swindol explain this verse the same way many years ago "according to how he is bent".

Read the words..."when he is OLD" it doesn't say to bend to your kid but to bend your kids to the way of God. It doesn't even say that they will never stray but rather that they will return to that way when they are old, mature. That's what's wrong with this world, people want to allow children to mold themselves by watching and nurturing their natural behaviors (their "bend"). God said it Himself that man is evil to the core (heart) always thinking evil. Evil is human nature but the way we should go is toward the way God purposed us and scripture is the path to the way.

Allen Parr, could you please do a series on the imprecratory psalms? All those psalms where David calls down judgement on his enemies? Are we supposed to pray those psalms today? Thank you sir

Oh Jesus! God have mercy! Mother taught it to me.
It worked in me. She was Christian. My Grandmother was Christian.
My Great grand mother is Christian.
As the country song says we were (Christian) before ( Christian ) was cool.
Everybody has their own interpretation of the
Bible and nothing they tell you means what it
says.

'According to how he is bent' phrase opens up a Pandora's box. So if a boy child acts like a girl or feels he should have been a girl, we should accommodate?

How about Romans 3:13, the classic NO NOT ONE. If you read the Psalm it was quoted from you realize it was written about the FOOL that rejects God. Is it really talking about Total Inability?

Are you going to have any more master classes any time this year?

Not sure about that. It’s God’s Word. How much else from scripture will people say are no longer God’s promises?

Well..one shouldn't have to beg people to join them, God's words takes care of itself, in fact.. he watches over it so that it won't go out void, and that it'll do what "HE" he is the operative word here.. God would have it do, secondly, individuals have free will, they're going to do what they want to do regardless, once they get to that age where they making their own decisions.. you can count on it, so.. that's just human nature

Sorry, there are no guarantees. In some instances you can guarentee that your child will be self righteous and judgemental.
