i was born in 2000s i didnt know this bird, not a long after i saw random picture on facebook a lot of people reacted "😢" then i ask myself what happend to this bird, i decided search every some of then comment and that why i came here to see it sad they gone because it was really beautiful to see😔

there is a bird sound like that here in manila, Philippines, dunno if rural areas does bird live too. when i was elementary every 6am i heard a bird just like that. i never forget that last 2 note just like what he did.

This bird is now the most beautiful species to me, I always feel bad for them and sad that they went extinct. Rats, desease, human activity, and especially cats made this beautiful species go extinct. We seem to do everything in our power to make something amazing go extinct, and then we regret our actions when they are gone. This poor animal sang, and sang, and sang for family that would never come. I wish to see them happy with their families, singing their little hearts out when I pass. Not one song is more beautiful, yet haunting than the Kauai O'o.
