When I was onboard the USS Theodore Roosevelt I had the chance to talk with the CO when I got CAPed (Command Advancement Program) and have dinner with him in the wardroom. It was part of the program. He was an aviator with over 10, 000 hours in over 30 different aircraft. I asked him what he thought was the most important aircraft the carrier had. Without hesitation he said the E-2 Hawkeye was number one because without knowing where the enemy is, the shooters are worthless. Number two he said were the helicopter squadrons aboard. Because when the shooters get shot down, and they will in combat, getting them out of the water fast is the most important. Aircraft are easy to replace, trained aviators are not. And all the rest are tied for 3rd. That right there speaks volumes

2:31 Correction. That is an AIR START UNIT (commonly called a Huffer for reasons long retired only know why), that provides 3.6 to 1 ratio air to the T-56 (the E2's engine). Some older models of Air Starts had AC & DC power capability (the NCPP-105 and A/M47A-4) but those really only benefited older aircraft no longer in service. The MSU-200/Nav has been the Navy's workhorse ASU since the early 2000s). The power cables seen are from an unseen GPU (either a NC-10, a A/M32A-108 or maybe the new unit [for the F-35 but provides power for any type required] with an Extension Cable.

Everyone else: Das Props! Me: So when is the 104 week due on that E2 sling? The SN didn't ring Navy either so it must be either owned by Japan Navy or Grumman/Northrop? 2:22 Instant erection: a MSU-200/Nav on a (modified) U-16 Trailer (yes, i know my SE).

It would have been more appreciated If you left the written portion a little longer so we had a chance to see what's going on to compare with the words that you were writing. The written part passes too fast.
