I totally agree with Zach here on the bad for "heel pain". I tested this in my living room and immediately felt pain in my Achilles Heel. If you have some problem or weak Achilles Tendon, do not get this shoes. I don't know if the shoes will soften up but I already packed and returned it after feeling that Achilles pain!!

I'm more interested in the Vapor 11's. I didn't get the predecessor Vapor Pros as way too narrow in the forefoot for me & just not comfortable otherwise (when trying on). My oldest son (former D1 player) recently purchased a pair (of the predecessor Vapor Pro's) on clearance & has been playing in them a couple weeks now & has some serious reservations about stability so hopefully this latest version fixed that along with more roominess in the forefoot area. The style/looks are definitely more appealing imo. The predecessor Vapor Pro's were a definite regression by Nike in the Vapor Pro line as the 9.5's (latest version I played) were a really great shoe imo .Thanks for the detail review as always interesting.

Not surprised by this review really. Maybe that is why the shoe costs only $120. compared to the Vapor 11 at $160. Compared to the Vapor Pro 2, reports are the Vapor 11 feels a bit more stable due to the molded sidewall, allowing for more aggressive cuts and push-offs. Like most comments here, I will be very interested in Zach's review of that shoe.

I have a feeling these would actually be really good outdoor basketball shoes, thought they are for tennis these specs are great for guards who toe drag and are always on the balls of their feet!
