Very well made video easy to understand. My ancestry is of Norman roots who were of course Norsemen Vikings that settled in Northwest France. I recently done my DNA I am 62% Scandinavian and 36% Celtic. The British Isles are made up from Tapestry of DNA via the Anglo-Saxons Picts Celts, Romans Normans Vikings, it’s what makes it so unique

The conquest part is the best in this video because it was important for them.

Excellent Presentation for a "New to the Dark Ages" Miniature Wargamer, like me. It was like watching an Introduction video to my new Character Forces. Thankyou.

Would’ve been nice to have had all historically accurate depictions of said people instead of 17th century French nobles etc

Normans somewhat asimilated, integrated, blended, evolved, adapted, and adopted with the peoples they encountered as well as somewhat subjugation and marginalization

Whats the point of having auto captions if people don't even check to make sure it's not complete gibberish that's written there.

Willy conquer: did he have to rewind to Rome? I’m way cooler than clumsy Claudius yo. Darn godwinsons just waiting for old king to die and grab his throne and treasures.

The Norman entry to Malta sort of represented the end of Norman 'domination' of Europe. Whereas in almost every European country you will see signs of a Norman past by place names and surnames - thousands of English surnames today being of Norman origin; especially Northern France too! - in Malta, there is I believe on surname that is Norman.

- Borg (from Byorg).

The Borg surname seems to be the only true Norman surname left on Malta, meaning, because it is paternal, the Maltese liked them (at the time; 1100AD). Obviously now, if you challenged the Borg surname on Malta, you'd have piss thrown at you; they are essence of Malta! But that is where they seem to have come from.

Maltese politicking seems to pinpoint that the Normans were 'guided' toward Rome and the crusades, and their efforts were sent to the 'Holy Land.'

- In no other place on Europe were such a 'dominating' bunch of individuals so fucking confused, so shocked at the native's way of life (Maltese), that they seemed to have crumbled apart in influence thereafter - with all efforts seeming to have gone in the direction of the Crusades.

- No other race of people on the Earth were more talented than the Maltese at confusing conquerors; some even said they'd rather fight the most vicious war than try to negotiate what exactly happens on Malta.
