Thank you for clearing this up. Cheers from a fellow Greek Orthodox. The greek term Theotokos, was earlier though, but came into prominence due to the ancient debate with Nestorians who they DID NOT accept the Godliness of Christ (they accepted 2 persons and 2 natures). So in order to confirm the incarnate Godliness of Christ, we use the term Theotokos.
