Well let's start with the things we can change.... Cutting over more than one lane at a time is definitely something that is not necessary and in a commercial truck I get annoyed about it because you cut me off like that I slammed on the brakes because I don't know what you're doing and lose a bunch of speed then have to take time to build it back up

Well yeah, they're cars, not a military parade. It's very difficult for so many points of individual failures (cars in this case) to be synchronized. Transportation shouldn’t be this decentralized as it leads to problems like in the video presented.

Even with self driving cars, the point of failure is too high. Reducing the points of failures through fewer, larger vehicles carrying more people, running multiple interconnected fixed routes operated by your local community should be the solution to this conundrum.

Lol, these comments are insane. The government found a way to get rid of the shocks on the shoulder, THEY GOT RID OF THE SHOULDER! Lol! In South Florida they added toll "express" lanes on interstate highways and they have left lanes that merge into nothing. So you'll be going along at 70mph and bam the left lane is gone and you have to merge into the center left lane. Geniuses! Lol

Get semis out of the right two lanes to start with. Then send every driver to merge school, with get up to speed before you merge on to a freeway for extra credit. Teach them that if there's someone broke down on the shoulder that you don't need to brake 4 lanes over! But the #1 thing is don't ever brake check trucks!!!
