I think it’s very critical that we work to break down stigma when looking at individuals with substance use disorders because whether it’s access to treatment, the ability to remain in recovery, whether to get a job, being able to find transportation, or just to care from your family, loved ones and your community stigma plays a very important role in becoming a barrier to every one of the these components.
