This is part one of a four-part series on my debut novel, Starlight Farm's Kennel for Talking Dogs. Each part focuses on a major part of the writing journey. If you've ever wondered "How do you write a book?" then, this is the series for you!

This first part is all about how to take your book from your first idea to your first word. All the planning, plotting, and discovery that needs to happen to then feed confident when you start writing. The next part takes you through writing the Protodraft and all the challenges and changes that happen to the story in the process. Part Three takes you through the editing process. And, Part Four includes everything I had to do to publish this book.

Ide disagree with the journal thing, I write all my ideas down, because I get busy and may forget them. They become useful later and I know now which stories are side stories to my main:)
