Mica Miller Update from Robeson County Sheriff's Office | Where was JP Miller? 911 Call Released

The Robeson County Sheriff's Office in North Carolina is investigating the death of 30-year-old Mica Miller after her husband's bizarre announcement of her death to his congregation at the end of a Sunday church service. She was discovered on April 27th, 2024 more than an hour away from her hometown with a fatal gunshot wound. Apparently, Mica sued JP for divorce two weeks ago and he was served with papers just 48 hours before she died.

He said: “I got a call late last night my wife has passed away. Yeah. It was self-induced and it was up in North Carolina and, um, we’re going to have a funeral for her next Sunday here at 3:00 p.m. Ya’ll knew that she wasn’t well mentally, and that she needed her medicine that was hard to get to her. I’m sure there’ll be more details to come.” He has scheduled a celebration of life ceremony for her on May 5th, 2024 at the Solid Rock Church.

Mica's family is extremely concerned and hope to have the truth about what happened to her, urging the police to "deeply investigate" what happened to her.

The pastor mentioned in the service how sometimes a phone call is the answer to one’s prayer. Then he tells about the call of her death….

He abused her since she was 15, she likely did have some mental health issues, but he preyed on them and pushed her to the absolute edge. Vengeance is Gods!

The 911 dispatcher should not have told her to wait a minute, and place her on hold. Dispatcher should have promptly started a dialog about what is wrong and try to change her mind about her decision and kept her talking while quickly sending police to her location.

This is pure speculation. I believe when he received the divorce notice he started verbally threatening her with ruining her reputation in the church, she was never going to make it without him, have her committed, etc. He tried to ruin her reputation with the death announcement in church and used her mental health against her. I remember when I decided to divorce and my husband berated me telling me that I would never make it without him, that I wasn't able to take care of myself and the kids. I almost believed what he said was true. Mica, being in a vulnerable state would believe his threats.

I’m so lost as to why the 911 dispatcher waited so long to ask what was going on and then we she told her basically said okay, and nothing??

She was a vulnerable woman with a history of mental illness and if nothing else, the pastor, her husband, was an aggravating factor in her death. The email that he sent to her was abusive and appalling.
Let’s not forget, she was with him/ he was grooming her since she was 14yo. It’s not surprising she had mental health issues, given the abuser that he is.

Mica’s family should reach out to Dr. Kenneth Kinsey. He is from the SC area & worked on the Murdoch Murder investigation. He is highly regarded as a forensic investigator.

This really hits home for me. My daughter is also 30 and suffers from depression. Last year she said she wanted to kill herself because she just couldn’t take it anymore. I’m thankful she said something so we could get her help. I am pleased to announce she is doing amazing. I wish Mica would have said something to a friend or family member because she may be alive today if she did. Hugs and prayers to her family and friends ♥️
