This video is a huge wake up call - thanks for posting it - I needed to see this! One of my Doodles (the bespectacled one on the left) vomited a huge line of raw hide this morning on our walk, it was about 2 foot long, I wasn't sure what it was initially. On close inspection (yuck lol) I realised it was partly digested raw hide (a bit like a long concertina) from a stick twist I gave him last night. My blood ran cold when I realised the implications of this being lodged in his intestines. Needless to say, he won't be fed any more and I have thrown away 400 hide twists that I still had. He had bad diarrhea too bless him, but hopefully, there won't be further trouble as he seems to have vomited it all up. Lesson learnt. They can chew on them quite happily for years but it's like a game of Russian roulette. And that's not even factoring in the nasty chemicals they are ingesting. I am surprised they're not banned - they should be. Thanks again.

I've been giving my dogs rawhides for 13 years and never had a problem. I'm not saying this video is wrong, and I'll stop giving my dogs rawhides from now on coz they don't like them that much anyway

My dogs have been eating rawhide since they were puppies. They are all healthy as can be with regular vet checkups. The youngest of the 4 is 10 years old the oldest is 16. At what age is it supposed to be so bad for them? I haven’t seen a single issue.
