I can understand people's wanting to lift the Titanic, but also keep in mind it's a grave site for some 1700 people and should really be left alone as I don't think it's really posing any real major threat to the area, sealife or people in general. And if anything, removing the Titanic from the ocean floor could disrupt the life that has formed there (the sealife, coral and other things, over the past 100+ years).

But aside from that, if you look at what it took to get the Costa Concordia moved (which, in it self, was a massive job even though it was not fully submerged like the Titanic) versus the Titanic which is 2 miles down and in a poor state (likely would break-apart on the journey to the surface and another reason it should probably just stay there.) Others have said that the metals will rust and deteriot faster as well, and that the Titanic only has about 15-20 years remaining before it becomes completely rust and is unrecognizable (according to some experts).

Let her be at peace on her final resting place. Although, it is true that the titanic was practically unsinkable because the compartments can be closed. If they happen to close the 5th compartment on time, she would basically survive because titanic was divided and combined into 3 sections so no matter where an iceberg hit or it happens to collide with other ships from any angle, it will stay afloat. It’s just really unfortunate timing since the iceberg is probably the only one that hasn’t melted when it reached that specific spot because of the cold currents.

Look, the amount of click bait and misinformative Titanic videos is getting out of hand.

1st it would be impossible to raise her without a complete collapse of the ship itself. She has been down there too long, and due to the decay she would fall to pieces in an instant from trying to move her.

2nd, regardless of whether or not you want to believe it, or whether the bodies are technically still down there. She is a grave, leave her alone. Just look around on the footage where you see pairs of shoes everywhere. There was once people attached to thoes boots, their bodies now turned to dust or eaten but wildlife downthere.

As someone, who has a member of his family down there on the ship somewhere, i say leave it alone, and start taking more care in the videos around the subject. Stop with the misinformation.

Exactly what I was thinking, leaving the Titanic wreck & unfortunate passengers that are long ago passed away leave them in peace. There's nothing more we should do except pray for them 🙏, as they still have living desendents potentially so be respectful always. I freely admit I'm fascinated by the Titanic ship 🚢 the way it was built is fascinated on its own. I would take all measures possible to protect the Titanic wreck from being plundered on or in the Titanic wrecks as in 2 sections of the ship 🚢 anyone touching the Titanic of its interior goes to jail hands off the wreck itself because that is the only places remains ! If it was a Greek Trireme, it might be forgivable as it is one way to learn about that time. For the Titanic, we got lots of documentation, plans, etc. We will not advance our understanding of the time period or engineering by raising it. Never mind that in the state of the ship which split at the stern, it is practically impossible. Leave it as a grave.
