Sanatorium - The Lost Souls ( Σανατόριο - Χαμένες Ψυχές )

The Sanatorium was built in 1912 - 1914 under the administration of Evangelismos Hospital, as a Sanatorium for those suffering from tuberculosis. In 1937-1938 he was also hospitalized by one of the most important poets of Greece (Yiannis Ritsos).
Inspired by the Sanatorium, the sculptor Spyridon Dassiotis chose the space opposite the imposing building to create "The Park of Souls". A set of sculptures from burnt tree trunks from the surrounding area of Sanatorium.
