All the best to the team. One thing I see that we need to improve on the approach to the 4x400m. For some reason we have lost the aggressive approach to the 4x400m. This event requires each leg to fight. We tend to lose the races on the 2nd leg because that is the most aggressive leg when the lanes merge and we jossle for good positioning. Very important to fight for position and not settle and be pushed out of positioning. That affected us in the last couple 4x400 I've seen and the aggressive approach needs to be stressed by the coaches. Individual times don't matter if they don't approach the 4x400 like war.

well lets work with what we have I believe they can do it and once they make it through i believe by trials and onwards they can become better and I would to see them represent at the Olympics given that they are the ones who made themselves available to represent its simple because non on the top athletes seems to have an interest so if they get the job done let them represent too .

This team will make the standard as long as they apply themselves well. I would rather to send two teams for safety though. My set up would be: Malik James-King who should be able to give us 45.20 approximately, Javaughn Powell new PB of 44.54, He should be able to replicate a 44.54 on the toughest leg, Farquharson on the third leg, he split 44.38 0n the third leg for his college team with a little over one week to recover he should be able to repeat that effort, And my anchor leg runner will be Tarees Rhoden, he also has been splitting 44s on his 4x400m college team and he has no fear. I would say well done JAAA. Great selections.

I wish them all the best. I’m surprised R Clarke turned down the opportunity to go considering that a relay medal is probably his only chance of medaling cause in reality he won’t beat the likes of warholm or dos santos and others
