I think the fact that she looks so out of place in this outfit is what makes it great imo. It's like Riven tried to sneak into some club to take down a baddie, but halfway through the dialogue tree decided to say F this and just start swinging.

I think that it's not meant to be only "riven in horny playboy outfit" but also be the cliche of "rude character dresses formally to infiltrate a place and then has to fight in said outfit" take for example Cloud, Aerith and Tifa in that one scene that everyone knows.

So, this is weird, because I always felt Battle Bunny was more fitting with her not being comfortable in it, cause Riven wouldn't be, and it feels like someone managed to convince her to do something really dumb and she's regretting every moment

I mean, it's one of the first skins of Riven and also was suggested by the community back in the day, so the skin clearly has it's age and it shows.

I want to believe that if Riven ever gets a rework, they'll make this skin justice

Super late to this party, but my recollection of this skin's origin is that it was from a fan concept in the old league forums. It gained a lot of traction and was adapted in game, similar to Surprise Party Fiddlesticks. It was a fun interaction with the community, and outdated model aside, is a pretty cool moment between the community and the devs.

I’m not a LoL player, this makes me kinda interested in the game, but I’m way MORE interested in just listening to in depth breakdowns of character designs that do or don’t work. I’ve started thinking this way in regards to characters in other things like the Splatoon Idols.

the bunny suit trope is that whoever is wearing it is supposed to be uncomfortable and hesitant to show themselves in that outfit.

Her model and animations are outdated. People don't want a VGU because riven's animation cancels are integral to her functioning as an actual champion. But I guess Riot isn't one to hamfist reworks despite community outrage.
