I agree was never a red. You did well to adapt and 20mins we put you under pressure, but we didn’t finish off and cost us. Totally agree officiating needs addressing big style.
3 strike rule I say, a manager can speak out and it goes to a panel. If they decide it’s poor officiating for one offence only per match then it’s a strike 3 strikes in different games means they miss a match and maybe a fine.
But I doubt that wil happen.

Best not to talk about the poor referring decisions. There a reasonable chance that the referee made the sending of decision due to our complaints against Gillingham.
We should all know by now that most referees clearly believe they are above scrutiny and evaluation. They need to take a long look at themselves.

I have a theory about the refereeing, perhaps its because Chesterfield don't pander to them or give preferential treatment? No silver service or bowing & scraping when they show up, just expected to do their job, professionally. Maybe they expect a gift bag or something?? 😮

Says all you need to know about the ref when both managers and backroom staff get yellows. So inconsistent!

we were 2 men down for the last half hour. 10 vs 12 and still won. I thought Grimsby were the better team for first 20 minutes but after that we deserved the win. Not seen the penalty shout back yet but it looked a good shout in real time from the East Stand. You can see the difference in this league to the NL. If you allow players to look up and hit an unchallenged shot from outside the box they have a chance. We will need to replace the goals if we keep hitting posts like this! #COYB
