Argentina also legalised it last year, and Uruguay did it ten years ago. As a Brazilian I don’t think it’ll be fully decriminalised here anytime soon. It is technically allowed when pregnancy is a health risk or in cases of fetal malformation; only recently did we get an exception for rape. Even still many hospitals refuse to allow it without lengthy judicial processes. But the one thing I know for sure is that we definitely can’t count on Congress to do it.

It was long delayed, the supreme court ordered congress to do this years ago, but they didn't have the guts to go for it (Same with decriminalizing marihuana). However, our two main presidential candidates are women, so let's hope that brings hope for mexican feminism, and women in the following years

I don't know anything about reproductive rights in Mexico, but I'm 100% sure this comes after a long process of political and social development within Mexico. The fixation on seeing all events throughout the world as if they were driven by US internal discourse stems from an (imperialist?) assumption that US/Anglophone discourse is the only one that matters.
