Special Announcement from BCRI

At the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute, we aim to build a healthy, adaptive and sustainable institution that's both financially self-sufficient and nationally significant. One year ago, we welcomed DeJuana Thompson to serve as interim president and CEO. She kept her promise to leverage her significant experience to bring about the change necessary for the Institute to thrive in the future. Now BCRI is pleased to announce her leadership has been made permanent by the Board of Directors.

The Institute also welcomes new leadership to its staff and new members to our Board of Directors!
