Planned Sequels That Were Completely Abandoned

Sometimes, a studio will sign on for a sequel even before a movie is finished. After all, what could possibly go wrong to have to stop an upcoming Batman sequel in its tracks? However, studios often realize that their eyes are bigger than their stomachs, and they quickly cancel the sequel when they see how badly the previous film did with critics or at the box office (or because of the bat nipples).

From the time that no one really wanted Superman’s return to the Twins sequel that will never happen, let’s take a look at some planned sequels that were completely abandoned.

- The Amazing Spider Man Franchise - TASM3 and 4, Sinister Six, Venom (although that is happening now) and Aunt May film.
- Spiderman 4

Fantastic Four: Rise Of The Silver Surfer was the only decent Fantastic Four movie and I was actually interested in a 3rd after watching that one

a Dredd Cartoon done in the style of the old Aeon Flux cartoon or The Maxx could be outstanding.

I wanted Fantastic Four 3 (2010), Spider-Man 4 (2011), The Amazing Spider-Man 3 (2017), Green Lantern 2 (2014), and Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator (2008).

It's a prequel but it's still worth mentioning: Tarantino was going to make a prequel to both Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs, connecting both films and would follow brothers Vince Vega and Vic Vega (Mr Blonde).
