With how expensive it is, just being able to afford a 7 day stay at the Contemporary is pretty bougie

I go to Disney to escape the real world, none of those feel like an escape to me more like a Housewives of a Disney episode. I’m happy at any hotel, restaurant etc

The other thing about Golden Oak is that even if you're wealthy enough to buy one of those houses, the yearly fees are insane.
Ive toured one of the houses there (not rich, I just know someone who was able to show the property when it was new) and it's pretty clear from the price breakdown that if you want to live luxuriously near disney, you're better off in Celebration, as Walt intended. Lol

With that money I'd rather go to Tokyo Disney, Disney Sea and HK Disney

Dad grew up low class and built up to high class, he’s done Victoria and alberts and said “it’s only worth it if you’re here for a business meeting, never with a family”

Spending money on any of this isn’t bougie, it’s just being ripped off by a corporation that can charge 2-10x what something would cost elsewhere just because it’s Disney.

If you’re staying at the Four Seasons Orlando then you’re pretty damn close to Golden Oak 😂

Bougie means a poor version of rich. So I don't know that this is bougie

The sad thing is that $2 million dollar homes are considered "middle class" in Vancouver (or at least that is what homes in what were middle class neighborhoods in the 1990s are going for these days). British Columbia is late stage capitalism incarnate.

I'd love to stay at a Polynesian bungalow, but i wouldn't consider that cold dip tub to be a pool lol

Disney is super nice and super clean on a level that can only be experienced. Also, they treat everyone like gold.

Homes start at 2 million by me too and there’s no Disney tax added into it.

I am only a little bougie. I stay at the value resorts, eat mostly at the food stands (never at Victoria and Alberts). I did eat at Tiffin's and Yak and Yeti.
