***This video is for the topic of Infection and Response for GCSE Biology and Combined Science (9-1) - it is written for the AQA specification but overlaps with other exam boards. Plant Diseases is BIOLOGY ONLY content - it is not needed for the Combined Science specification.***

We’ll start with looking at how aphids can damage plants and how gardeners can destroy them.

Then we’ll learn the two ion deficiencies you need to know for GCSE Biology - nitrate ions and magnesium ions.

The second part of the video is for Higher Tier only.

We’ll cover the 7 symptoms gardners and horticulturists can use to spot if their plants have a disease.

Next, we’ll learn about 3 methods to identify the disease.

Lastly, I’ll give you some quick questions to try. Find out what you’ve understood by pausing and trying them yourself before marking them with me. If you’d like some exam-style questions, download my Infection & Response StudyAlong workbook from my website!

I really hope this video helps & that you’ve enjoyed revising with me - let me know if there are any other videos you’d like to see!
