I struggle with how to describe the fatigue. When people ask how I am, and I say, "I'm tired, " I either get, "You're always tired, " or "Oh yeah, I'm exhausted." I compare it to the feeling of getting sick with the flu, without the flu, all the time. For word finding difficulties, especially at work, I will say, "Let me think for a minute ..." without shame! It's taken a long time (10+yrs) for me to learn to put my priorities first (as far as when, how, and where I use my energy) and to ask for what I need.
