Viewing himself as the worker is exactly what made him a star. He had pure talent but worked hard with it. Criminally underrated footballer. When I was a kid he was and to be honest still is my hero and still my all time favourite footballer.

He was a star.
But every star on the galacticos thought they were the worker

Top class player. He left Spain with all the respect. And his contributions to the Liga de las Remontadas is remembered today

He is completely right. That was the way we saw him, but with a catch: he was an absolute mega star, who also work harder than any other player in the team. That’s why we love him so much and have such respect for both his endless effort and his endless talent.

Beckham contributed immensely in the second half of the 06/07 season, Zidane figo and Ronaldo were gone, capello froze him out the first half of the season.

Beckham trained seperate, capello saw his work, brought him back in the team and he provided many crucial assists in the run in for the la Liga title.

It turned out to be Beckhams only trophy in 4 years in Madrid, and it was won with Van Nistelrooy, mahamdou Diarra and Robinho. The 06/07 team was less galactico and more functional.

Real professional. I remember how they treated him in his last season. But then he came back with an impressive game. ❤

Real Madrid’s Galacticos era was filled with superstars: Zidane, Ronaldo, Raul, Roberto Carlos, and Casillas were the real standouts, each bringing world-class talent and impact to the team.
Beckham, while a global icon, contributed to the team’s dynamic mainly through his pinpoint crosses, set pieces, and work rate on the right wing. He wasn’t the central star, but his skills complemented the squad and added to their overall success.

Gattuso before beckham arrive on loan: David Beckham's loan move to AC Milan is "strange" and i do not believe the Englishman can take my place while I'm out with a knee injury.

Gattuso after Beckham leave to return to La Galaxy: hes surprised me in a positive way. Hes a great professional, he arrives at training two or three hours early

Watching that documentary of his and seeing him dig in and perform when everyone hated him after “the incident” … for months and months. The boos were BRUTAL

That highlighted an aspect of his character, that he could knuckle down and still perform and show people what he was made off, despite the immense hatred and pressure where most people would have folded in on themselves. He legitimately worked his balls off to regain everyone’s love and respect as a team player, with the support of his team.

My favourite player as a kid and to this day. ❤
