This is one of the best product Reviews i have ever seen, hands down! Straight to the Point, on-camera testing and showing of the Material, own opinion and reference to other artists, - perfect! It really helped me decide in making a choice, lots of love, greetings from Europe!

Thank you Mattie for the video, very helpful materials. Have been using Sculpey long time ago, love it but holding details are tricky. Chavant keeps sticking to the sculpture tools was mentioned on other video. Definitely Monster clay will be next on my list, glad found a fellow Canadian sculptor here. Well done video.

Tip: If you want monster clay to go hard quick then get a dust air compressed can and turn it upside down and spray. It will instantly freeze the clay.

what do you think about a traditional water based clay? The stuff they also use for pottery

Super informative thank you!

Seeing this I wonder why the soft or even medium version exist, right? I mean if you can soften it for molding, don’t you want your shape to hold as much as possible once you’re done shaping? And then if you want to make any modifications you just soften it up again with heat. So it seems like getting the hard version is a no-brainer.

Or am I missing something?

What a very informative video, thanks so much. Can we use the torch on Chavant clay to soften it?

I do sand sculpting as a hobby and want to practice my skills while not at the beach. Would clay work help me? At the beach we just build up forms, pound the wet sand in and remove everything we don't want. So it's a bit different than clay in that you can just take a little piece add it where you want. Sand doesn't rebond like that. Maybe I could use Monster clay, pour it into a small form and start from that. How easy is it to remove large chunks of clay?

can you mix the Chavant medium and hard to make something in the middle?

Hey I love the video and I’m going to start my sculpting soon, wondering where you got your sculpting base you have the dragon on ?

Awesome informative video - I'm trying to sculpt an "Add-On" piece for a motorcycle helmet which I'll then cast to make a silicone form. The resulting form would then be used to create the final version of the Add-On. Don't know how it will turn out but I'm sure I'll learn a lot in the process. Thanks Mattie

So I want permanent sculptures-If monster won’t work, sculpey won’t work for me, what should I try? Nsp isn’t really permanent, so is das my only option? Are there any other options? Is there any way at all to make monster permanent? I’d like to try silicone molds, but my sculptures might be big and I can’t buy very much silicone- what do I do?
