Sharing some of the projects I have been working on including a string dispenser, a gummed paper tape dispenser and a loom. The first two are part of my drive for plastic free packaging. The four shaft loom is a sort of follow on from my interest in weaving.

I love the tape & string dispensers. You are making a dull and tedious part of your business (P&P) something that becomes a pleasure. How wise.

Wow you have been busy. The loom is lovely. Could you make more of them? They would make such good educational gifts for children. One of the many things left behind by the previous owner of my home was a reel of gummed paper. I think your parcels look very smart and classy.

Aha there you are ! You haven't been shipwrecked in a coracle after all ! Just incredibly busy ! A rustic string dispenser - that's certainly a first ! Ideal string too for wrapping parcels. The next thing is some sealing wax too, along - of course - with your own unique embossed stamp to create the seal. Going back to gummed paper too - what a great idea ! A few decades ago, gummed paper labels were all the rage amongst environmentally conscious people - I've still got several pads of them. They're useful for labelling tins to say what junk is inside them, and work very well. I note that you very cleverly stick the string to the parcels underneath the gummed paper. I like the stained glass chair you used on the video ! An excellent restoration job on the loom, and a stroke of genius to colour-code the four frames. A fairly large shuttle that you're using there. Also I found over half a century ago when I last did weaving on a loom like that, that using thicker yarn produces output quicker ! A common practise to get around the problem of having a large loom, is to have a large one that collapses when not actually being used - in fact the loom loaded with weft and warp, shuttle and all, could be folded up and dragged into the corner of the room until the following weekend when there was time to do more ! But yes a handy little loom you have there for oven cloths and cushion covers ! So excellent to see that you've achieved so much in recent days, are happy and busily occupied ! Much more fun than helping your daughter look for a new car as I'm doing...

I used to live in a weaver's cottage. It was like a bungalow stuck onto a two-storey semi-detached house where the loom was kept. I was only a baby so have no memories but the house is still lived in today. Good video.
Best Wishes, Brendan.

Hubs built me an 8 harness floor loom. Yes it takes up lots of room. Cleaver string and tape dispensers. How’s the spinning coming? I love to spin. Very relaxing. Blessings

Did you make a video of you restoring the loom? I like the design and would like some measurements.

Would you consider selling one of those aprons? I checked your store and they would be an item you might be able to sell. thanks from Georgia USA
