Ancient temples werr build where energy was abundant. You wonder why some temples were build on top of a mountain? That's the reason. Then, prana prethishtta is done, and the idol statrs vibrating. Devotees are asked to stand either on left or right, not in the front, from where they can receive energy.
There is a temple in India, where as soon as u enter the temple, u can feel the heat.

The shiva lingams represent the god of destruction Shiva. Lingam is an exact replica of the black hole. In black holes the periphery of the black hole is the rotating mass and central black portion is seemingly stationary force.

So they weren’t horse mills/ rotary crushers?
Like in Pompeii or Herculaneum
“Wagon mills are sometimes used in conjunction with water wheels or windmills that use horse engines as their power source. Any milling process could be powered in this way, but the most frequent use of animal power in horsepower mills was for grinding grain and pumping water. Other animal engines that power the mill are powered by dogs, donkeys, cows and camels.”
